Disaster Relief Support for our Fellow Tennessee Residents

The Memphis Medical Society encourages our members and community to support our friends in East Tennessee who are recovering from Hurricane Helene. Below are some options to financially support recovery efforts.

From the Ballad Health Foundation:

“We have established a Disaster Relief Fund which allows flexibility for funds to be used “where needed most” within Ballad either for team members in crisis, patients in crisis, or critical emergency response needs.  The Disaster Relief Fund is first in the list of options for giving.

Ballad Health Foundation
1019 W. Oakland Ave., Suite 2

We are also working to set up a text to give option and will send that to you once available.”

From the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics:

“We continue to monitor developments in eastern Tennessee following hurricane Helene and have identified additional county-specific aid organizations.

In addition to the information we shared yesterday for Greene County, donations can be made to the following organizations and/or you can find additional details about how to help.

Unicoi County – Unicoi County Fund – East Tennessee Foundation

Cocke County – Home Page – Cocke County Strong

Washington, Carter and Johnson Counties – Donate – We’re After Solutions That Create Real Change (unitedwayetnh.org)

Sevier County – Disaster Donations – Sevier Co. Emergency Management (sevierema.org)

TNAAP will continue to monitor recovery efforts and offer our support.”
